5. "Advertising Space Available Here: An Autobiography" - Wally Pleasant
King made this book up. It doesn't exist, or not yet anyhow. But King is a big fan of the East Lansing singer-songwriter. He called him a "genius." He said Pleasant is "my favorite artist," and swears he would read Pleasant's autobiography in a heartbeat. "Brain scorching, brilliant, compelling, lyrical, unforgettable, tastier than Denny's at 4 a.m.," King said. "I couldn't put it down. The true story of music in Lansing, through the ears of the greatest musician of the 20th century (and beyond)." |
